posted at 10:01 on 2/9/10 A song written by retired history professor Edward W. Sloan has been selected as Trinity's new fight song. Sloan's work, "Go, Bantams, Go!" was selected by a judging panel from submissions for the contest that began in January. Sloan taught at Trinity for 28 years before retiring nine years ago. His song has not been professionally recorded yet, but it will be produced and used at sporting events and in multimedia productions, including as a ring tone. Trinity's fall sports schedule begins the weekend of Sept. 11. The panel of judges— including faculty, staff and a student— narrowed the field to 12 before choosing between two works.
